A cinematic love story captured in paris during summer
One of the most rewarding parts of being a Paris wedding photographer is meeting couples with meaningful stories and creating photographs that become part of those memories.
For Raquel and Enrique, this wedding anniversary photoshoot in Paris was especially meaningful.
They were married during the pandemic and, although they celebrated an intimate wedding surrounded by their families in Paris, they never had the opportunity to have a proper wedding photoshoot.
Years later, as they prepared to leave Paris and return home to Spain, they wanted to celebrate their anniversary in a way that would also mark the end of an important chapter of their lives.
So we spent an afternoon revisiting some of the places that had become part of their story in Paris.
Starting at the Tuileries Garden
We began our photoshoot at the Jardin des Tuileries, one of our favorite locations for a romantic summer photoshoot in Paris.
The soft summer light, tree-lined paths, fountains and classic Parisian architecture created the perfect setting for the first portraits of the afternoon.
We photographed Raquel and Enrique walking around the gardens, next to the fountains and with the Louvre and surrounding architecture appearing naturally in the background.
Rather than creating overly posed photographs, we wanted the images to feel relaxed, romantic and full of movement.

A little bit of Parisian movement
From the Tuileries, we took the Paris Métro to our next location.
We love incorporating everyday moments into our sessions, especially when they are such an important part of experiencing Paris.
While waiting for the train, we created a few photographs using the movement of the Métro to produce a motion-blur effect around Raquel and Enrique.
The result is one of our favorite styles of image: romantic but slightly cinematic, combining the intimacy of the couple with the energy of the city around them.

Photographing the place they called home
Our next stop was much more personal.
We walked through the neighborhood where Raquel and Enrique had lived during their years in Paris and photographed them along the streets they knew so well.
We eventually reached the entrance of the apartment they had called home.
For us, these photographs became some of the most meaningful images from the session.
Paris is full of iconic landmarks, but sometimes the places that matter most are much simpler: the street you walked every morning, the café around the corner or the doorway you came home to every evening.
Including those personal locations can transform a Paris couples photoshoot into something that truly tells your story.

Ending the session somewhere full of memories
We finished the afternoon at the restaurant next to their home, a place where they had shared many meals and memories during their time in Paris.
It felt like the perfect final location.
What began as an anniversary photoshoot became something more: a celebration of their marriage, their years in Paris and the beginning of a new chapter together.
Having known Raquel and Enrique personally made documenting this moment especially meaningful for us, but it also reminded us why we love photographing couples in Paris.
The most beautiful photographs are not always created in the most famous locations. They are often created in the places that already mean something to you.
If you are celebrating an anniversary, wedding, elopement or simply an important moment in your relationship, we would love to help you create photographs that feel personal to your own story.
